I'm reaching out for help
But I can't reach all the way
I'm crying out for help
But my cries are landing on deaf ears
Please help me
I can't do it on my own
I'm not afraid to admit it
I need help just like you do
I may be pretty
I may be friends with 100 people
I may be smart
I may be the top of my class
I may be alot of things
But just because I am those things
That doesn't mean I don't need help
I do, desperately

The light

i can’t quite reach it

i want to

i desperately want to

but this darkness

it continues to wrap around me

confining me

restricting my breath

just when it seems there is no hope

i feel something in my hand

i’ve finally grasped the light

it pulls me free from that place of pain

i start to cry

not because i’m sad

but because i am so happy

so extremely thankful

i can’t begin to describe the joy i feel

i feel so free

is this what its like when you surrender

when you give it all to him

the maker of heaven and earth

the giver of life and breath

the very air i am breathing is so energized

its overewhelming in a good way

i never knew what i was missing before

but now i do

i know what it was

now that i’ve found it

i’m never gonna let go

i love the light. <3
